��૧૮૩૩ – અમેરિકાનાં શિકાગો શહેરનો પાયો નંખાયો.
��૧૮૫૧ – 'ઇશાક સિંગર' (Isaac Singer)ને સિલાઇ મશીનનાં પેટન્ટ અધિકારો પ્રાપ્ત થયા.
��૧૯૬૦ – 'ઇકો ૧' નામક પ્રથમ સંદેશાવ્યવહાર ઉપગ્રહનું પ્રક્ષેપણ કરાયું.
